OUR APPROACH
Structured like a chart, written like a person
Every calculator on Pulsehealth uses published formulas — Mifflin-St Jeor for metabolic rate, Karvonen for heart-rate zones — and presents results the way a U.S. lab sheet is annotated: clearly labeled, ranged, and in mg/dL where Americans expect it.
Our articles follow the same discipline. Each one explains how a measurement or category works. It does not replace the doctor reading it with you.
WHAT WE DON'T DO
No diagnoses, no personal prescriptions
Pulsehealth, Inc. is a Boston software desk, not a clinic. Our tools return general U.S. reference ranges — they never generate a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a dose based on your details.
Anywhere a decision depends on your history, we say so and point you toward a licensed U.S. physician or pharmacist. Emergencies: 911.
PRINCIPLES
Four commitments behind every page
Sourced methodology
Every formula used in our tools is a published, established standard — never an invented shortcut.
Plain-language first
If a guide needs a glossary to be understood, we rewrite the guide rather than add the glossary.
Explicit boundaries
Every tool states clearly what it can't do — no quiet overreach into diagnosis or prescribing.
A path to a person
Every page ends somewhere useful: a next guide, a next tool, or a route to a licensed U.S. doctor.
